This private tour into the Troodos Mountains offers all three.

Through winding mountain roads and pine-covered slopes, you’ll travel deep into the heart of Cyprus – to one of its most spiritual landmarks: the Kykkos Monastery, rich in history and devotion.

Along the way, we stop to discover hidden corners – a church swallowed by water, a medieval bridge in the forest, and, if time allows, a taste of local wine.

This is a tour for the soul – quiet, timeless, and beautifully Cypriot.

 

Troodos Escape – Kykkos Monastery & Forest Trails

We begin with a gentle stop at the Alassa Church, whose bell tower sometimes emerges hauntingly from the waters of Kouris Dam. It’s a powerful reminder of how nature reclaims its space – and a perfect photo opportunity to start your journey.

From here, we ascend steadily into the Troodos Mountains, with sweeping views and changing vegetation along the way.

We then continue through mountain passes to reach the Kykkos Monastery, the most important and wealthiest monastery on the island.
Founded in the 11th century, Kykkos is home to a richly decorated church, precious relics, and one of the few surviving icons attributed to the Apostle Luke.
You’ll have time to explore the grounds, learn about the monks‘ way of life, and reflect in the cool shade of the inner courtyards.

In the higher reaches of the forest, we reach the Tzelefos Bridge – the most famous medieval stone bridge in Cyprus. Nestled among tall plane trees and mossy rocks, it’s a peaceful, hidden gem and a favorite for nature photographers.

On our return drive, if time allows, we’ll stop at a small local winery for a complimentary wine tasting – a toast to the beauty of the mountains and the peace they offer.

Please note:

• We will pick you up at your hotel or arrange a meeting point with you. We will then take you on your tour, without the stress, hectic pace and time pressure of other guests. Of course, we will show you the famous buildings, but we will not forget to show you some of the really interesting places to take pictures. We’ll find out what really interests and excites you. So our tour with you is very personal. Don’t worry, we won’t tell you any novels about the historical buildings, we’ll just give you some information and give you time to take in the impressions and / or take photos.
• We will pick you up at your hotel about 9:00. Please bring something to cover shoulder and knees with you.
• All in all, the tour lasts about 7 hours, it depends on you, because this event is only for you and your family, partner or friends that you book in.

We will be happy to pick you up from your hotel free of charge if you are staying in the Perivolia/Kiti area, Limassol or in Larnaca Destrict
(e.g. Oroklini – Pyla – Livadia – Larnaca City). Pick up is also possible for more distant routes, but we will then charge a small surcharge.
