Cyprus is steeped in ancient myth and legend and several places on the island have a particular mythological significance. Adonis Baths is such a place.

These waters over the centuries eroded the soil and formed a small lake. According to Greek mythology, this is where Adonis and Aphrodite would meet to spend time together.

The bath of Adonis is located below an old mill. Waterfalls cascade down and fill a small lake with fresh water. All around, nature has not been idle and has gone to great lengths to form a unique backdrop.

The Adonis Baths Waterfalls is one of prettiest locations in Cyprus. It´s said by the locals that swimming in the water has positive effects on both men and women. There are even Statues of Adonis and Aphrodite at this location due to its connection to the old tale.

This lovely place is located 267 m above sea level. In the village of Koili, in the province of Pafos, where Mavrokolympos flows, the waters gather and form a small waterfall.

The Adonis baths and waterfalls said to be the place where Adonis used to meet and bathe with Aphrodite, spending much of their time together here as it was their favorite place. It was also here that many of their children were supposedly born.

However, it was also the place where Adonis died in the arms of his lover Aphrodite after a man disguised as a wild boar fatally wounded him in battle.

Outside of the baths, there is a sign beside the statues of the lovers, which says:

„Ladies infertile who wish to become pregnant touch Adonis’s appendage and have many children thereafter.“

What’s waiting for you:

We arrange a meeting point with you or pick you up at your hotel. Arrived at the bath of Adonis, we will show you this little paradise, give you enough time to take a refreshing bath, have the opportunity to explore everything yourself or just to chill. After your time at the waterfall, we invite you to a local restaurant for a late lunch. Depending on the season, the cosy restaurant in the mountains may be closed. In this case, we will prepare a picnic in nature where you can enjoy the delicacies of Cyprus.

• We will pick you up at your hotel or arrange a meeting point with you. We will then take you on our exploration tour, without the stress, hectic pace and time pressure of other guests. Of course, by the way, we will not forget to show you interesting places to take pictures. We’ll find out what really interests and excites you. So our tour with you is very personal. Don’t worry, we won’t tell you any novels about the history, we’ll just give you some information and give you time to take in the impressions and / or take photos.
• Lunch in Restaurant or Picknick:  If you prefer not to eat meat, vegetarian or vegan options are also available.
• We will pick you up at your hotel at 8:00. We won’t be doing any long walks, but you’ll still want to wear suitable footwear and, depending on the time of year, bring a hat or cap to protect you from the sun, or a jacket in case it gets a bit chilly. All in all, the tour lasts between 6 and 7 hours, it depends on you, because this event is only for you and your family, partner or friends that you book in.
