Discover the Mythical Adonis Waterfalls and the Aphrodite Rock
Follow the footsteps of love, legend, and liberty on this inspiring private nature tour across two of Cyprus’ most iconic sites.
From the windswept cliffs of the southern coast to hidden valleys in the island’s green heart, this journey invites you to explore not only stunning landscapes – but the stories behind them.
You’ll stand where Aphrodite rose from the sea, where Adonis bathed beneath a waterfall, and where Cypriots once hid in defiance of empire. Each stop speaks of beauty, myth, and the spirit of resilience.
Whether you seek a quiet escape into nature, a deeper understanding of local legend, or simply unforgettable photo moments – this tour brings it all together in one powerful experience.
Let the land tell its stories – and walk with us through Cyprus’ most sacred places.
Aphrodite’s Rock & Adonis Waterfall – Where Myth Meets Memory
We begin along the rugged southwestern coast at Aphrodite’s Rock (Petra tou Romiou) – the legendary birthplace of the goddess of love.
As waves crash against this dramatic outcrop, you’ll hear the myths that made this place sacred. It’s said that those who swim around the rock will find eternal beauty and love – and while that may be myth, the magic in the air feels real.
Enjoy time for barefoot walks, stone collecting, or simply gazing at the sea. It’s an ideal moment to pause and reflect.
From the coast, we head inland to the lush valley where you’ll find the Adonis Baths Waterfall – a peaceful, green oasis surrounded by fig trees and ancient stone.
Before reaching the waterfall, we stop at a local sculpture park, home to playful and myth-inspired statues that add a touch of charm and humor.
Then we climb a few steps to visit an old water mill, a site of deep national importance. This mill once served as a hideout for Cypriot freedom fighters during the anti-colonial struggle against British rule – a hidden place full of character and memory.
Finally, we descend to the base of the falls, where cool waters invite you to swim (optional – bring swimwear and a towel).
Whether you choose to wade in or just enjoy the view, this serene spot is the perfect end to a day of natural wonder and timeless stories.
