Famagusta
With its long history, Cyprus offers the perfect place to take a look into the past and explore buildings, cathedrals and churches, fortresses, palaces and picturesque old towns.
Our private guided tour is one of many options to visit the 10 most popular places in Cyprus. Famagusta, along with Nicosia and Kyrenia, is a city in Northern Cyprus where life pulsates. But besides the modern city of Famagusta, called Gamaguza in Turkish, there is also the old town, also known as the walled city. Mighty city walls with large watchtowers, the old royal palace, the Lala-Mustafa-Pasha mosque, a replica of Notre Dame in Paris, old cathedrals and churches from the Middle Ages and many small stores in the small buildings of the old town await your visit.

Varosha – Ghosttown
After our visit to old Famagusta, we jump back in time to 1974, the year of the civil war and the Turkish occupation of Northern Cyprus. Varosha was the district of Famagusta where tourism flourished, the rich and famous met in casinos and countless vacationers filled the beaches and streets. and then time simply stood still. Today you can stroll through the streets and see how nature is slowly reclaiming and overgrowing the man-made city. You will understand the common word ghost town after your visit, because it has the impression that ghosts really are the only inhabitants of Varosha. Perhaps that is also the reason why we are only allowed to spend a little time in this surreal environment during the day.
