Kakopetria – Old Stones, Fresh Air, and Flowing Waters

We begin with a short stop at the Kouris Dam, one of Cyprus’ largest reservoirs. Depending on the season, you may catch a glimpse of the mysterious submerged church of Alassa, with only its bell tower rising above the water – a hauntingly beautiful scene.

From there, we continue into the Troodos mountains and arrive in the village of Kakopetria. You’ll explore the atmospheric old quarter, with its cobbled streets, slate-roofed houses, and centuries-old architecture. This part of the village is protected as a heritage site and offers a real glimpse into rural life from another era.

Small shops, historic chapels, and the soft sound of the Karkotis River complete the experience. Every corner is picture-perfect, every alley feels like a quiet retreat.

Our final stop is the Millomeris Waterfall, reached via a short nature walk through a shaded forest path. Hidden among rocks and pine trees, it’s one of the prettiest waterfalls in Cyprus and a refreshing place to pause before we return.

• We will pick you up at your hotel or arrange a meeting point with you. We will then take you on your tour, without the stress, hectic pace and time pressure of other guests. Of course, we will show you the famous buildings, but we will not forget to show you some of the really interesting places to take pictures. We’ll find out what really interests and excites you. So our tour with you is very personal. Don’t worry, we won’t tell you any novels about the historical buildings, we’ll just give you some information and give you time to take in the impressions and / or take photos.
• We will pick you up at your hotel about 9:00.
• All in all, the tour lasts about 6 hours, it depends on you, because this event is only for you and your family, partner or friends that you book in.

We will be happy to pick you up from your hotel free of charge if you are staying in the Perivolia/Kiti area, Limassol or in Larnaca Destrict
(e.g. Oroklini – Pyla – Livadia – Larnaca City). Pick up is also possible for more distant routes, but we will then charge a small surcharge.
